Auckland Twitch streamer and staff member launches merch

When not lifting weights and creating workout plans for Albany students, Massey rec and well-being coordinator Billie Lal streams on Twitch playing Fortnite, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, The Casting of Frank Stone and Poppy Playtime.  

His merch collection includes both a shirt and hoodie that feature references to music and Lal’s signature gamer tag, YEAH X GRIZZLY.  

Fellow streamer iToonZz helped create the merch designs over a 5-hour call, and Lal said they include easter eggs to Rocket League cars.  

“Everything came together within that 5-hour call. It was amazing! My community loved it and lots of people bought the tee and hoodie design.”  

With Lal’s launching of merch, his fans have a chance to show support. “My community asked for it all the time! ‘When’s the merch coming?’.”  

With both a growing number of viewers and merchandise, Lal has also focused on creating more content for his social media. “When streaming, I feel like I’m super hyper and say the randomest things at the randomest times. It’s like allowing your intrusive thoughts to come out and a bit of brain rot.”
