I hope you all had a good break over Easter and used all that time wisely to study (ha!). But seriously, welcome back to semester 1, the team at ASA have some sick stuff in the works at the moment that we know your gonna love.
Thanks to everyone that came and watched the ASA AGM and budgeting seminars that took place over the past couple weeks. We always appreciate your support and input with all our events, and I look forward to seeing you all at them in the future.
So now to the good stuff.
We are stoked to announce that the campus radio project is kicking off in the next few weeks, so expect to hear some new sounds blasting around campus. Keep your eyes on this space for more updates as we get closer to kicking it off. We are also looking for some keen students to help us run the radio and get involved. If you’re interested, please email me!
At the AGM we received a lot of suggestions regarding having some more live music evenings down at the Fergs. I’m stoked to say the team at ASA have been making some progress on this front, so expect a gig or two coming up sooner than you may think. Once again if you know any good kiwi artists we should be collaborating with, then flick me an email and let me know!
On the April 19 we have our advanced advocacy training to help our advocates gain the skills necessary to deal with all those tricky situations, I hope to see you all there.
Once again, if you guys have any sick ideas you want to make happen come see either myself or one of the Exec at ASA and we can try make it happen. I also encourage you all to start thinking about how we at ASA could be doing things better. Remember the ASA exec elections are creeping up on us, and there’s always room to improve the lives of Massey students!
That’s about the end of my spiel for this issue, but remember to keep checking our Facebook page for regular updates.
